MASON, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals dropped both ends of a non-conference doubleheader at Mason on Tuesday by scores of 4-0 and 14-6.
The Cardinals collected six hits in the first game but were unable to score. Mason pushed across single runs in the first and second innings and added two insurance runs in the fifth.
Coldwater scored three runs in the top of the first inning in the nightcap but Mason responded with seven runs in their half of the frame which forced Coldwater to play catch up for the rest of the contest.
Coldwater’s Rylie Van Aken had three hits and four RBI’s in the second game.
The two losses dropped the Cardinals record to 11-18.
