David Albert Scheidler, 82, of Coldwater passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
In respect to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on June 3, 2024 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Coach Eby Youth and Family Center. The service will start at 1:00 p.m. with dinner immediately after.
A burial of ashes will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with military honors at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
David was born April 18, 1942, to Rollin and Irma (Hanna) Scheidler in Coldwater, MI. David married Regina Dotson a on June 2, 1988 and she survives.
David honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force and upon his return home, he began his career with HC Stark retiring in 2009 after over 40 dedicated years.
He was a faithful member of Jesus Name Apostolic Church in Coldwater and enjoyed traveling as often as he could.
David also found his joy in music and photography; but his greatest passion of all was his family and time well spent with them. He will be dearly missed as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
In addition to his wife Regina Scheidler of Coldwater, David leaves behind his children Shawn (Kris) Grogan of Chesterfield, Joshua (Courtney) Scheidler of Battle Creek, Anthony (Stephanie) Scheidler, Cara Scheidler both of Coldwater; his siblings Rollin (Mary) Scheidler, Irma (Gordon) Hinckley, Rebecca (Ken) Bible; and his grandchildren Devyn Brass, Tai Brass, Kristian Grogan, Sierra Grogan, Briana Scheidler, Connor Scheidler, Parker Scheidler, Noah Scheidler, Sydney Scheidler, and Jensen Scheidler. David is also survived by his first wife, Lois Claywell (Bob), of Arizona.
David was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Beth Lou Zebolsky, Frances Bressler and his brothers Donald Scheidler and John Scheidler.
My prayers go out to your family at this time. I didn’t know David, but I was a friend of Becky Bible. I care. I wish you all comfort and peace.

I always appreciated David, he was always a good man, truly humble and a great spirit, a consummate gentleman and an absolute pleasure to have worked with through the years. A very GOOD SOUL .
