Glenn Elwin Howard, 87, of Tekonsha passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at his home under the care of his family and hospice.
A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Albion, Michigan.
Glenn was born on July 28, 1936 to Earl and Lucretia (Juckett) Howard in Albion, Michigan.
He graduated from Homer High School with the Class of 1955. He attended University of Michigan for a short time before joining the United States Army in December 1955. He received a medical discharge from the military in October 1961.
Glenn worked as a draftsman for Trail Mobile in Longview, Texas where he retired in 2000 after 37 years. In July of 2014, he moved to Marshall, Michigan.
Glenn enjoyed fixing things, building things, and helping people with whatever he could. He continued to volunteer work after his retirement until 2021.
Glenn is survived by his daughters, Glenda Crump of Longview, TX and Nancy Spurlock of Alba, TX; his sister Mary Horton of Tekonsha; his grandchildren Patrick Spurlock of Gulfport, MS, and Jessica Spurlock of Alba, TX; and his great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Crump of Tyler, TX, and Karah Crump of Union Grove, TX.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents; his grandchildren, Brett Crump and Danielle Crump; his sister Evelyn Lukazcek; his brother Robert Howard; his special aunt Rita Juckett; the mother of his children, Patricia Brown; and his wives, Marjorie Howard and Lavern Howard.
