COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Redbirds 8U baseball team defeated Homer 17-9 on Thursday night.
Jack Post and Nic Starkey led the way offensively for the Redbirds with four hits apiece.
Beau Dixon, Callen Longstreet, Ethan Lyon-Welch, Jett Herendeen, and Parker Huff all added three hits.
The Coldwater Redbirds 8U squad resume action on Saturday in Quincy for the Quincy Youth Sports 8U Tournament.

Luke Stout collected three hits in three at bats, as Coldwater Redbirds 14U defeated Union City Koufax 2024 7-4 in the first game of a doubleheader on Thursday.
Will Knowlan earned the win for Coldwater as he surrendered one hit and three runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out seven and walking three.
Logan Turner drove in two runs for Coldwater. Stout also stole three bases.
Logan Miller led Union City Koufax with one hit in two at bats. Union City was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Miller had the most chances in the field with seven.
Matthew Hurley drove in four runs to lead the Redbirds to a 13-2 win in the second game.
Logan Turner led Coldwater with three hits. Evan Slusarski and Luke Stout each collected multiple hits.
Dalton Stadel and Dyson Stadel were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit and a RBI.
