He graduated from Colon in 1958. Ron joined the United States Air Force and served in Texas, California and Anchorage, Alaska.
Ron met the love of his life at Palmer Lake in Colon, Michigan. Ron married Lois Auten on July 21, 1962 in Anchorage, Alaska. The couple lived in Coldwater, Michigan for many years, moved to Portage, Michigan and then Ron moved to Loveland, Ohio in 2022.
Ron worked for Otto & Sons, Gambles, Federal Mogul, and the Community Health Center all in Coldwater, MI and Depaite in Portage, MI.
Ron’s faith in God was an integral part of his life and he was a very patient and caring man to everyone that he met along life’s journey. Ron & Lois loved going on trips to Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and love taking trips to Disney. Ron learned many skills from his father to fix things and the love of model trains. He always loved to have the grandkids and great-grandkids over at Christmas to run the train.
Surviving are his three children Lori (Gene) Lieb of Los Banos, California, Cindy (Jess) Abbott of Loveland, Ohio and Ron (Ashley) Baker of Kentwood, Michigan. He also leaves nine grandchildren Anthony, Amanda, Rebecca, Justin, Nathan, Caleb, Lydia, Emily and Katie, and five great- grandchildren Abigail, Kaden, Addison, Augustus, and Annabelle.
