Catherine A. Dukes, 77, of Coldwater passed away peacefully surrounded by family Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Jeff Bream from Northview Christian Church officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Catherine was born December 20, 1946, in Paducah, KY to Joseph H. & Alvena (Held) Noble.
Catherine earned her Bachelors Degree in Education from Murray State University. She taught Adult Education for many years, retiring from Four County Vocational School in Archbold, OH.
Catherine had a love of the arts and a passion for theater and was actively involved in the Williams County Community Theater Group in Bryan, OH. It was here she found a second family. With WCCT Cathy entertained audiences with her award winning performances and expressed her creativity.
She is remembered for her witty/dry sense of humor and had a laughter like no other. She enjoyed cooking, especially for holidays and family gatherings. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Catherine is survived by her children Dennis Dukes II of Temperance, Amy (Brett) Timblin of Coldwater; her brother Joseph (Balthra) Noble of Mongolia; her grandchildren Rayanne (Clayton) Rzepka, Riley Dukes, Zachary Dukes, Aubree Timblin, Avery (Adam) Murray; her great grandchildren Grace and Tate Murray; her very special cousin Judy Lirely of Murphysboro, IL and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the Williams County Community Theater.
