COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After ratification by both union members and the Board of Education, Coldwater Community Schools and the Coldwater Education Association have a new three year contract.
The deal runs through the 2026-2027 school year.
Coldwater Superintendent Paul Flynn felt the most important thing was achieving a three year contract after his first year as Superintendent.
(The contract calls for a 3% pay raise in the first year, and 2% raises in each of the next two years.)
Flynn says the contract, which takes effect July 1, included wording and protection for teachers.
After approving the new contract last night, the Board of Education also approved a 3% pay hike for all of the district’s maintenance and central office support staff, as well as all administrators.
Following a favorable performance review this spring, the board also approved a one year contract extension for Flynn through 2027.
