BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Weather permitting, sealcoat maintenance road work by the Branch County Road Commission will continue on July 8, 2024.
Work is scheduled to be done at 11 locations including Warren Road between Fremont and Lake Roads.
Crews will also be working on the following roads:
Volkmer Drive
Lawrence Road from Central Road to the end of the pavement
Quimby Road between Dubendorf and Central
Fiske Road between Dubendorf and Fenn
Wood Road between Central and the township line
Lukesport Road
Lukesport Drive
Miller Road
Mick-Ke-Saw-Be
LA Wood Subdivision
This sealcoat maintenance ideal doesn’t work and never has. The sealant does not hold even half of the stone down. In a few days or less it ends up along the sides of the road or in peoples yards. Not to mention the dust coming in your home windows if you live near that road. The sealant ends up on the tires and sides of our cars. Its a danger to motorcyclist. The whole process is a waste of time and money. Just a way to make the public think your County Road Commission is actually maintaining the roads. Stop wasting the taxpayers money!
