COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Solar Community Grant Program is now accepting applications from local organizations for its next round of funding.
With construction slated to begin in the coming months, Coldwater Solar says it’s committed to being a long-term community partner. Past recipients of community grants include the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce, Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary, Branch District Library, Habitat for Humanity, Coldwater High School, and others.
Grant applications are open to any individual, group, or organization serving those in the City of Coldwater, Coldwater Township, and Ovid Township making a positive difference in one or more of the four key areas defined as: Building Safe and Healthy Communities, Community and Economic Development, Environmental Sustainability, and Promoting Education.
The application period will remain open through August 15, 2024, though grants may be awarded prior to that date based on need. Priority will be given to grants that demonstrate meaningful ways of achieving their stated objective and make a positive difference in the lives of the greatest number of area residents.
