COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After being on the job for 15 months, Jake VanBoxel is no longer the City of Coldwater’s City Planner and Director of Neighborhood Services.
City Manager Keith Baker did not give a reason for his departure during Monday night’s Planning Commission meeting.
There were memos to the Planning Commission members in their packets for Monday’s meeting from VanBoxel that were dated June 27, 2024.
In the meantime, Baker has named City Assessor Samantha Albright as the Interim Neighborhood Services Director.
VanBoxel started working for the City of Coldwater in April of 2023 after serving as the City Manager of Stanton in Montcalm County for two years.
Stanton has a population of about 1,300 people which is far less than Coldwater’s population of nearly 14,000.
