QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Village Council appointed Ryan Smead to fill a vacancy on the Council during their meeting on Tuesday night.
Smead takes over from Christy Berry who stepped down from the Village Council last month because she moved out of the village.
Smead is a 2005 graduate of Quincy High School. He earned a bachelors degree with a major in business administration at the University of Northwestern Ohio. Smead has a 20 year background in property management and maintenance.
He was the only applicant for the open position and will complete Berry’s term which expires in November.
In addition, anyone interested in running for a Village Council Trustee position in the upcoming elections have until Thursday, July 18 to turn in petitions to the Township Clerk.
