COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Weather permitting, the City of Coldwater will be microsurfacing several streets during the upcoming week.
Microsurfacing is a road maintenance tool that corrects or prevents certain deficiencies in pavement conditions. Microsurfacing is used primarily to extend pavement life by sealing any cracks in the surface.
Affected houses will receive construction notice doorhangers with instructions.
Areas that are scheduled for microsurfacing on Tuesday include Sherman, Sheridan and Pierson Streets along with North Hudson between East Pierce and Elizabeth.
With the distribution of food on Tuesdays at the Food Pantry on Pierson Street, construction will not start until after the distribution is complete.
Work on Wednesday is scheduled to take place on West Montgomery, West Clarke Avenue, South Circle Drive and Grand Street between West State and Cardinal Drive.
Crews are scheduled to work on Thursday on Arrowhead Drive and Hatch Avenue.
Residents are asked not to park on the affected streets and adhere to the “no parking” signs.
Avoid the area if possible or proceed slowly throughout the construction zone.
Officials say that once work is done you should avoid braking or turning sharply on the road surface for 24 hours after the treatment is applied.
If you have any questions, call the City of Coldwater at (517) 279-9501.
Don’t believe it. It does nothing to improve road surfaces and is a waste of taxpayers money.
