BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan State University Extension Service weather station at the Bloom Dairy Farm west of Coldwater has now measured over seven inches of rain for the month of July following another soaking rainfall on Monday night.
The weather station measured almost an inch-and-a-half of rain (1.45 inches) between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.. Heavy rain fell between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. when 1.19 inches was measured.
The latest rainfall brought the July total at that location to 7.12 inches. That follows rainfall totals of 3.98 inches in June and 4.63 inches in May.
If you do the math, a total of 15.73 inches of rain has been measured at that location since May 1.
Rain gages may be busy this week as showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast from Tuesday night through Saturday.
