COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Negotiations between Branch County and Lifecare Ambulance continue as the contract between the two parties will be expiring in September.
Branch County Administrator Bud Norman told the Board of Commissioners during their Thursday work session the county want to keep things the same with three ambulances available.
Norman wanted Commissioners to take this matter to the 911 Board during their next meeting on August 14 in order to get their input.
He said Lifecare is dealing with increased costs due in part to retention and recruitment.
Lifecare is now fully staffed after about 40 percent of their full time positions for EMT’s and paramedics were unfilled two years ago.
