COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Adapt, Incorporated has wrapped up its Summer Youth Program for this year.
The program runs in June, July and August and offers work experience to students in collaboration with Michigan Rehabilitation Services, Coldwater Schools, the Branch Intermediate School District and the Branch Area Career Center.
This year’s program featured two four-week sessions where students gained hands-on experience with an emphasis on attendance, work ethic, developing and maintaining good relationships, and following instructions.
Students worked on trail maintenance and indoor janitorial tasks at Pokagon State Park and handled roles such as housekeeping and front desk duties at the nearby Holiday Inn Express.
Adapt, Inc. is a residential community living service for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The nonprofit organization serves Branch and St. Joseph Counties.
