COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital has announced that Lori Tipton, RN is the recipient for the second quarter DAISY Award.
The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s mission to recognize the extraordinary, compassionate nursing care they provide patients and families every day.
Tipton has been an employee at PCRH since March of 2020.
Her nominator said, “Lori Tipton is an exemplary, kind, and compassionate nurse who is well-deserving of the DAISY award. She is a dependable and flexible team player, always willing to help and take on extra shifts, mid-shifts, and night shifts as needed across various units, including the CCU and medical floor. Lori readily pitches in, maintaining a positive attitude and providing tremendous support to the hospital during staffing challenges. She has demonstrated a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn new roles, and a true commitment to advocating for her patients’ best interests. Lori has also taken on the lead role as a SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner). Lori’s flexibility, reliability, and dedication to excellence make her a tremendous asset to the hospital. I would enthusiastically nominate her for the well-deserved DAISY award.”
The DAISY Foundation is a not-for-profit organization. Nurses may be nominated by patients, families, and colleagues. The award recipient is chosen by a committee at PCRH to receive The DAISY Award. Awards are presented throughout the year at celebrations attended by the Honoree’s colleagues, patients, and visitors.
