COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – If you have not been to the Branch County Fair yet, time is running out. The 94th Fair will close on Saturday night.
The large animal auction along with the showmanship sweepstakes highlight the activities at the Fair on Friday.
Swine, beef, sheep, goats and diary animals will be auctioned off beginning at 9:30 a.m..
The Horse and Mini Horse Showmanship will take place in the Horse Arena at 5:30 p.m.. The participants are Jonas Burdick for Mini Horses and Maryelle Brodt for Large Horses.
The Showmanship Sweepstakes for small animals will start at 6:00 p.m. in the Show Shelter followed by the Large Animal Showmanship Sweepstakes.
The Small Animal Showmanship participants are:
Poultry– Garrett Gruner
Rabbit– Landon Claybaugh
Cavy– Landon Claybaugh & Lydia Gordon
Starter Calf– Addison Meyers
Goat– Sydney Fowler
The Large Animal Showmanship participants are:
Dairy– Kelsey Gruner
Beef– Katrina Howe
Sheep– Alexa Graham & Jack Thelan
Swine– Alexa Graham and Alivia Blonde
(due to exhibitors winning in more than species, the alternate participates too)
All participants are ages 15-19.
Culy’s Jewelry donates Citizen Quartz watches to the winners of the Small and Large Contest.
The Amphitheater will host TK Pro Rodeo starting at 7:30 p.m..
