BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Department is asking everyone to drive safely this weekend and watch for slow moving traffic and pedestrians as the U.S. 12 Heritage Trail Garage Sales are in full swing.
The annual event called, “Michigan’s Longest Garage Sale” is being held Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Sales are held along 200 miles of the U.S. 12 corridor from New Buffalo to Detroit.
Residents sell everything from antiques, collectibles, furniture, dishware, fresh garden produce, homemade jams and jellies, more.
The sales can be found along the highway at homes, farms, businesses, parking lots and fields.
Some areas will have large numbers of vendors while others may be scattered.
Nearly two dozen sales are being held in Branch County according to a map listing the stops which registered on the event’s website www.us12heritagetrail.org.
