COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With the Branch County Fair coming to an end, the renovation of Waterworks Park is scheduled to start this week.
City Manager Keith Baker said during a City Council meeting last March there will be many improvements.
The Coldwater City Council approved Parrish Excavating’s low bid of $488,297 during their March 11 meeting. The initial engineering was estimated at $600,000.
Baker says in his report for Monday’s City Council meeting that the work should be completed by the end of October.
A draft design of the project can be found on the city’s web site, www.coldwater.org.
As for other projects in the City of Coldwater, Baker says in his report for the City Council that work is nearly complete on the Kids Kingdom playground renovation, this year’s Street Micro-Surfacing Project was completed last week on Grand and West Montgomery Streets, West Clarke Avenue, Hatch Avenue, and Arrowhead Drive among others and ground was recently broken on the first phase of the Western Meadows subdivision project to create ten new single-family home lots. Work is expected to be completed by November.
