QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – After a 14 year hiatus, Dave Bach is back in the Quincy High School football program.
Quincy Community School has announced on its Facebook page that Bach is the new Varsity Football Assistant Coach.
Bach retired from teaching at Quincy High School after 31 years last year and is the winningest Head Coach in Quincy Football History.
He coached the Orioles for 14 years as the Head Varsity Coach and has also helped coach at Coldwater.
During his time with the Quincy Oriole Football program, Bach led 13 Honorable Mention Academic All-State teams, five playoff appearances, three Big 8 Championships and won the MHSFCA Coach of the Year in 2003 along with Coach of the Year from the Battle Creek Enquirer in 1999 and 2003.
Quincy Athletic Director, Chris Gerlach, stated “We are very lucky to have the winningest Head Football Coach in Oriole history back with the team. More so, I think we are lucky to have his wisdom and experience on and off the field. Coach Bach is a key piece to what we are doing here at Quincy, and I think he is the perfect compliment to current Head Coach, Ryan Hasten. There are big things coming for this football program!”
