OVID TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A new golf cart ordinance which has been worked on for years is now in effect in Ovid Township.
It was adopted by the Ovid Township Board in June and went into effect on July 19, 2024.
Under the ordinance, drivers have to be at least 16 years old. They must have a license to drive a vehicle and have the license on them when driving a golf cart.
Golf cart drivers have to stay close to the right side of the road.
Those under the age of 16 must be seated. Those youngsters have to be restrained by a safety belt when in a rear facing seat.
