UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Union City Superintendent Chris Katz told the district’s School Board on Monday night he will present a report to them during next month’s meeting concerning the district’s aging buildings.
Options are still being explored about the possible consolidating of buildings thanks to a study that was conducted after the district received a state grant.
He said two things have been going on.
The district’s elementary school was built in 1952 while Union City High School was constructed in 1960 and Union City Middle School was built in 1975.
Katz said the study found the middle school building had the most problems.
