COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Area Lions Club “Lights of Love” project is coming back to downtown Coldwater.
With the renovation work in the Four Corners Park now finished, the Lions Club will be requesting approval from the Coldwater City Council on Monday night to bring back their tree fundraising event this holiday season.
City Manager Keith Baker says the Lions Club would like to place three foot potted trees in the southwest park this year.
Branch Area Lions Club President Sue Adams says the Lion Club in Jonesville has been using the potted trees for years and they don’t blow over on windy days.
Just like in the past, the trees would be available for purchase and decoration by local citizens or sponsors.
They would be installed in time for the December 7 Holiday Parade and be removed by January 4.
