COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The three final candidates to be the next Branch County Administrator are scheduled to be interviewed on Tuesday afternoon by Branch County Commissioners.
Assistant St. Joseph County administrator Jessica Miller will be first up at 1:30 p.m. followed by Lakeland Correctional Facility administrative manager John Morrell at 3:00 p.m..
The Commissioners will then conduct their regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. and then interview Meridian Township manager Frank Walsh at 5:30 p.m..
Branch County Commissioners selected the three finalists during their work session on August 1. The decision came after the Commissioners interviewed six candidates.
Walsh was the only unanimous selection among the five Commissioners. Morrell and Miller were both invited back on 4-1 votes.
Chet Janik from the Michigan Leadership Institute is helping in the search for a new County Administrator.
Miller, Morrell and Walsh will meet with county employees before they are interviewed by Commissioners.
Whoever is selected will take over for Bud Norman as he is retiring at the end of the year.
