COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The three final candidates to be the next Branch County Administrator were interviewed on Tuesday afternoon by Branch County Commissioners.
Commissioners talked with Assistant St. Joseph County administrator Jessica Miller, Lakeland Correctional Facility administrative manager John Morrell and Meridian Township manager Frank Walsh.
The three met with county employees before they were interviewed for about an hour-and-a-half apiece.
The Commissioners are expected to select the winning candidate during their work session on September 5.
Branch County Commissioners selected the three finalists during their work session on August 1 after they interviewed six candidates.
Walsh was the only unanimous selection among the five Commissioners. Morrell and Miller were both invited back on 4-1 votes.
Chet Janik from the Michigan Leadership Institute is helping in the search for a new County Administrator. Whoever is selected will take over for Bud Norman as he is retiring at the end of the year.
