COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In an effort to reduce noise in the multipurpose room at the Children’s Museum of Branch County, the Downtown Development Authority Board approved a request from the Museum on Wednesday to install a drop ceiling in the room.
Children’s Museum Executive Director Shana Grife says the drop ceiling would provide sound absorption for all of the room’s activities.
Main Street Director Audrey Tappenden pointed out the room gets a lot of use.
The museum, which leases the building from the D.D.A, will pay all of the costs for the nearly $9,800 project.
Quotes indicated the new drop ceiling would cost about $5,000 while concealed pendant sprinklers would be about $4,800.
