BEIJING (Reuters) – President Xi Jinping on Thursday urged China to strive to achieve its annual economic and social development goals and tasks, state media reported.
Speaking at a symposium in northwestern city of Lanzhou, Xi emphasized the need for all regions to “do a good job” in economic work towards the end of third quarter and the fourth quarter, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
He also called for employment to be put in a prominent position and expanded in developing industries.
