OVID TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The drivers of two vehicles that collided at the intersection of Centennial and Central Roads on Friday morning were both taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Office says the crash was reported at 10:09 a.m..
They say their investigation indicated a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 71-year-old Gwendolyn Hogaboom of Fremont, Indiana was traveling west on Central Road when it failed to stop at the stop sign.
It then collided with a 2007 Dodge Ram driven by 36-year-old Joshua Martin of Coldwater which was traveling south.
The Sheriff’s Department reports seatbelts were used. Life-Care Ambulance and Lakeland firefighters provided assistance at the scene.
For years the people that live on Centennial Road have been asking for a 4 way stop or at least a blinker light there to slow those racers down but the county board refuse because “the studies don’t show a need” Thank you Randall Hazelbaker for your fantastic support on this!
