CALIFORNIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Three persons were taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne on Tuesday afternoon following a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Southern and South Ray Quincy Roads.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Office says the crash was reported at 3:19 p.m..
They say 18-year-old George Bucklin of Sturgis was traveling east on Southern Road when his 2012 Chevy Silverado failed to stop at South Ray Quincy Road and struck a 2020 Dodge Ram driven by 78-year-old Carlton Porter of Fremont, Indiana which was traveling south.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, both vehicles sustained major damage and were towed from the scene.
The two drivers along with a passenger in the Porter vehicle, 47-year-old Lovina Swartz of Quincy, were all transported to Parkview.
Deputies were assisted by Lifecare Ambulance, Coldwater Towing, the Fremont Fire Department, Steuben County Ambulance, The Michigan State Police and the Branch County Road Commission.
