QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Union City swept the Big 8 Conference Jamboree hosted by Quincy on Tuesday.
The Chargers edged Bronson by three points, 47-50, to win the girls meet. Quincy was third with 64 points.
Bronson’s Ava Hathaway (19:28.89) and Ashlynn Harris were the top two finishers. Union City’s Skyler Fraley and Allison Gautsche were third and fourth respectively while Quincy’s Charlotte Crabbs was fifth.
Union City had four of the top six finishers in the boys meet as they won with 23 points followed by Bronson with 79. Concord was third with 82 points followed by fourth place Quincy with 89 points.
Union City’s Ben Gautsche (16:51.3) and Jason Shoop were the top two finishers. Quincy was led by Chayse Jensen who was fifth. Bronson’s top finisher was Tyler Wilber as he was 12th.
