COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Noon Exchange Club recently presented $6,600 to the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence which were part of the proceeds from the Exchange Club Duck Race on June 1.
According to a post on the club’s Facebook page, the Coalition was selected to receive this donation thanks to their huge contribution to the success of the recent Duck Race.
In addition, the Exchange Club’s national missions are to make the community a better place to live through programs of community service, youth activities, Americanism and the prevention of child abuse and so much of what the Coalition does fit into their goals.
In its 31st year, over 2,300 ducks were purchased for last June’s event, which combined with other sponsorship dollars, raised over $20,000.
Monies raised from the event go to various community organizations and projects supported by the Coldwater Noon Exchange Club.
