BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – As part of Fire Prevention Week, the Bronson Fire Department will once again be hosting a free fire safety open house and pizza party on Saturday, October 12 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the fire station on South Matteson Street.
Personnel from the Bronson Fire Department will be visiting with local head start and elementary school students throughout the month of October to teach children what to do if a fire occurs at their home.
There will be family friendly activities on Saturday focusing on the fire escape plan taught to children in schools during fire prevention week.
Those who attend will have a chance to meet firefighters and check out fire trucks and equipment.
Numerous Bronson area businesses are sponsoring the event.
