Mark A. Burkett, 51, of Coldwater passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 at his home.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no services held at this time.
All arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Mark was born January 28, 1973, in Coldwater to Laverne W. and Ila M. (Bates) Burkett.
Mark worked many jobs including a Flour Miller at Star of the West Mill and at Bill’s Market as a salesman.
Mark enjoyed playing video games with his brothers and friends, drawing and reading. When he could Mark liked to target shoot with his brothers and share his knowledge with others.
He liked to listen to music, his favorites were Dire Straits, Chris De Burgh and Beethoven.
Most of all Mark loved spending time with his significant other Hilary, brothers, nieces, nephews and his friends.
Mark is survived by his significant other Hilary Montminy; his brothers Andy (Luci) Bates of Temperance, MI; Dave (Leslie) Bates of Coldwater; his step siblings Byron (Annie) Quaak; Benny Quaak; Brandi Quaak; his nieces and nephews Karina Bates; Davilynn Bates; Desirae Bates; Courtney Bates; A.J. Bates; his great nephew Riley and many loving friends especially Benny (Samra) Singh.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents Carl (Ellenor) Bates.
