Charles “Jim” J. Warner, 71, of Bronson passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 8, 2024 in Cedar Rapids, IA.
A memorial service officiated by Pastor Josh Englehart will be held Monday October 14, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Visitation will take place Monday October 14, 2024 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Jim was born on June 10, 1953, to Eddie E. Warner and Mary A. (Conklin) Ritter in Portland, OR. Jim later met Kathy A. Brownlow, whom he married January 14, 2003, in Las Vegas. They have happily spent the last 21 years together with a marriage full of love and companionship.
Jim spent most of his working career with the Oldsmobile Scramble in Coldwater and Eckrich in Quincy.
Jim was very passionate about many things; a University of Michigan football fan was one he was most proud of. In his younger years Jim played softball, coached freestyle wrestling in Bronson, and played golf for many years.
He was very fond of World War II history and western or military movies. Jim enjoyed a variety of music including classic rock, particularly the 60’s and 70’s.
Jim loved to spend time with his two cats Loki and Punkin, and his wife and family who brought him so much joy.
Jim is survived by his wife Kathy Warner; his children Jennifer (Al) Alexander; Jerrod Warner; Janelle (Tom Manning) Warner; Jeff (Mitchell) Warner; his grandchildren Olivia; Maddie; Myles and Libby.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother and his son James Warner.
In lieu of flowers, all memorials can be directed to the National Kidney Foundation or the Humane Society of Branch County.
