ALGANSEE TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Voters in Algansee Township will be asked on November 5 to pass a millage for fire protection and equipment.
The township is seeking approval to levy one mill over the next 10 years. If approved, over $114,000 would be raised in the first year.
Officials say the millage is needed to cover the growing costs for fire protection services and continue high quality protection for residents
Information on the millage request will be available for residents to review during Algansee’s Fire Safety Day this Saturday, October 19 from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. at the Pine Ridge Church on South Ray Quincy Road.
Those who attend will get a chance to explore the Quincy Fire Department trucks and equipment up close.
Donuts and Cider will be served early in the day.
