Patti Lee Lynch (née Myers), 69, of Coldwater, Michigan passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024 surrounded by family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Patti was born April 16, 1955, in St. Johns, Michigan, to Maurice and Mary (O’Connor) Myers. She grew up in the Lansing, Michigan, area and graduated from Waverly High School in 1973. Patti met Craig Lynch at Michigan Farm Bureau, where they both worked, and they married July 21, 1990 in Grand Ledge, Michigan.
Patti was a devoted wife and mother of four children. While she worked at various places throughout her life—notably, Michigan Farm Bureau, Sherwin-Williams, the Care Center Hospital for Animals, and Taylor, Plant & Watkins / Branch County Abstract & Title.
Patti’s true passion was exploring her creativity. She dabbled in quilting and knitting and loved gardening, her yard a testament to her skill with plants. She took up painting later in life, and her unique and sometimes eccentric work quickly became beloved by family and friends. Patti was an avid reader, Anne of Green Gables being her favorite novel. She enjoyed spending time with her golden retrievers, Wren and Percy.
Patti was a source of joy for many. Her never-ending and quirky sense of humor endeared her to everyone she met, up until the very end of her life. She is remembered for her beautiful smile, ready laugh, warmth and kindness, and love for her family and friends. Her sense of humor lives on in her children.
A devout Catholic, Patti was a longtime member of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater. Her faith brought her comfort throughout her life and in her final days.
Patti is survived by her husband, Craig; her children, Christopher (Mariela) Klaver of Bilbao, Spain; Benjamin Klaver of Sturgis, Michigan; Mary (Jennifer) Klaver of Kalamazoo, Michigan; and Abigail (Parker) Lynch-Harbaugh of Ann Arbor, Michigan, each of whom she was endlessly proud; and her grandchildren, Hannah (Joseph Jordan) French, Brianna French, Evelyn Holt-Klaver, and Marguerite Klaver. In addition to her immediate family, Patti is survived by Christopher (Jody) Klaver of Grand Ledge, Michigan, with whom she shared her three oldest children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Susan Kalinowski, and brother-in-law, Thomas Kalinowski.
At Patti’s request, her family asks that funeral attendees dress comfortably and in bright colors in her honor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
