BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – According to a new voting information dashboard from the Michigan Secretary of State’s office, over 5,900 absentee ballots have been requested by Branch County voters as of Friday morning.
That includes over 1,600 in the City of Coldwater, 168 in Bronson, just over 500 in Quincy and almost 400 in Union Township.
The website shows just over 3,000 of the absentee ballots have been returned.
There are 35,381 registered voters in Branch County.
Just under 2-point-2 million absentee ballots have been requested around the state. That’s a bit of a decline from the same time in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic prompted election officials to send absentee ballot applications to every voter in the state.
Absentee ballots for the November 5 general election began being mailed September 26.
