COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A crew from the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities is back home after they went sent to Lakeland, Florida to help restore power in the wake of Hurricane Milton.
CBPU linemen Sean Guzy, Jory Watson, Glenn Raymond and Alex Otis were released from their mutual aid assignment last Thursday.
Over three million Florida residents were without power at the height of the outages after Milton tore through the state.
It was the second CBPU mutual aid crew that assisted hurricane victims in the southeastern part of the country in recent weeks.
Guzy, Jeff Stanton, Bryce Withington and Brent Somerlott along with two bucket trucks spent two weeks in Florida and South Carolina helping to restore power after Hurricane Helene.
