He was born December 26, 1955 to John and Pearl (Dewhurst) Knight in Fremont, MI. David met and shared his life with his beloved life partner Marcia Knight and she survives.
As a man dedicated to his family and his work, Dave led a career in iron working with the Local 292 of South Bend for many years until his retirement.
Dave was a faithful member of the Coldwater Eagles and the Sons of the American Legion. Enjoying the great outdoors, he loved to hunt, fish, and target shoot; Dave was also an avid collector and was never one to pass up a good yard sale or trip to the flea market.
Of his many collections, Dave’s greatest keepsake was his family and the love and memories he shared with them.
In addition to his life partner Marcia Knight of Quincy, MI, David leaves behind his children Jessica Murray of Coldwater, MI, Rick Wibert of Quincy, MI; his siblings Patricia Pott of Grand Rapids, MI, Janet Tibbe of Belmont, MI, Steven Knight of Belleville, MI, Lisa (Scott) Kenyon of Kalamazoo, MI; his grandchildren Gavin Murray, Haylee Murray, Jachin Murray, Xander Wibert, Jillian Wibert; and his many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Peter and Michael Knight, his father-in-law Jerry Letts, and his brother-in-laws David Tibbe and Bruce Pott.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Coldwater Eagle’s Scholarship Fund or to the Humane Society of Branch County.
