ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department released information on Monday about a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle last week.
A press release stated the unidentified pedestrian was flown to an unnamed hospital with life-threatening injuries after the incident happened last Thursday night at about 10:20 p.m. near the 65000 block of Constantine Road.
It was reported the pedestrian was speaking with a driver who was inside of her vehicle which was parked facing north in the southbound lane of Constantine Road with its lights on.
The driver of a southbound car was unable to determine which lane the parked vehicle was in. When he realized the vehicle was in his lane opposing traffic flow, the driver of the southbound vehicle allegedly swerved to the right and hit the pedestrian.
The crash remains under investigation.
