EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Two Branch County teams have qualified for the 2024 M.H.S.A.A. Football tournament as the district pairings were announced on Sunday afternoon.
The Bronson Vikings and the Union City Chargers will both open the Division Seven playoffs on the road. Even though the two schools are only 15 miles apart, the M.H.S.A.A. placed them in different districts.
The 6-3 Vikings are the third seed in Region 3, District 1 and will play Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at number two seed Schoolcraft. The winner will play either Lawton or Coloma for the district title.
The 8-1 Chargers are the third seed in Region 3, District 2, and will play at second seeded Hanover-Horton on Friday night at 7:00 p.m.. The winner will face Hudson or Napoleon for the district championship.
