HILLSDALE COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office say alcohol and failing to yield at a stop sign are believed to be factors in a Monday afternoon crash that sent both drivers to the hospital.
The crash was reported at 1:25 p.m. on Moore Road near Hillsdale Road.
According to a Sheriff’s Office news release, 74-year-old Gary Cobb of Waldron was traveling south on Hillsdale Road in a 2004 Dodge Ram when a eastbound vehicle driven on Moore Road by 25-year-old Terasa Lopresto of Osseo allegedly did not yield at a stop sign and collided with the passenger side of Cobb’s vehicle.
The Cobb vehicle rolled over into the ditch while Lopresto’s vehicle came to a stop in the middle of Hillsdale Road.
Cobb was transported to Hillsdale Community Health Center by Reading Emergency Unit to be treated for his injuries.
Lopresto was taken to Hillsdale Community Health Center by a Hillsdale County Sheriff deputy to be treated for her injuries and to have a blood draw test completed.
