COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School boys basketball teams dropped three out of four games to Marshall on Monday night including a heartbreaking defeat in double overtime.
The 8th grade A team lost 28-24. Kolton Rice had 18 points and five steals for Legg while Caden Searing grabbed eight rebounds.
The 8th grade B team lost 39-11. Conner Gray grabbed 17 rebounds for Legg while Kacey Thornton scored three points.
The 7th grade A team lost in double overtime 40-38. Mason Whelan had 19 points, five rebounds and four steals for Legg. Harrison Marsh added 13 points and five steals.
The 7th grade B team won 32-21. Nick Vito led Legg with 12 points and five steals while Ayden Wilson had six points. Seth DeWitt and Vito each had six rebounds.
