COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency Board of Directors approved an updated salary schedule for employees on Thursday which includes a five percent increase in wages.
The updated schedule would take effect on January 2, 2025.
Administrative Services Director Theresa Fisher told the Board’s Finance Committee during their December 2 meeting that data collected in May of 2023 by an independent contractor from Municipal Consulting Services showed wage growth at the agency has been irregular over the last 20 years.
It was felt the Agency had to invest in its workforce in order to attract and retain the best staff possible.
Thursday’s meeting was also the last for three Board of Health members who are also County Commissioners.
Outgoing Branch County Commissioner Tom Matthew from has served four years on the Board. St. Joseph County Commissioners Steve Lanius and Rusty Baker both served on the board for two years.
