COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners approved the appointment of Alan McClellan on Thursday as their liaison to the citizens committee that will provide oversight of the newly hired aquatic director at the Browne Aquatic Center.
The appointment was supposed to have been made during the organizational meeting on Tuesday but somehow got overlooked.
Commissioner Tim Stoll made the motion after McClellan said he and Commissioner Rick Hollister agreed to a change in committee assignments.
The Coldwater Community School Board of Education approved a Independent Contractor Agreement with Hampton Aquatics & Fitness LLC out of Battle Creek in November to manage and operate the Browne Aquatic Center.
It was part of a five year Intergovernmental and Interlocal contract between the City of Coldwater and Coldwater Community Schools on the operation of the swimming pool facility which called for the hiring and oversight of a full-time aquatic director.
