FAWN RIVER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The names of the two men who died Sunday morning after their vehicle crashed into a lake near Sturgis have been released through obituary announcements.
One of the fatal victims, 28-year-old Brice Lee Fenske, was a Quincy resident.
According to Eagle Funeral Homes, Fenske passed away in the crash which also claimed the life of his cousin and friend, 30-year-old Zane Dirr of Delta, Ohio.
Michigan State Police say the accident happened at 8:11 a.m. when a eastbound vehicle on U.S. 12 near Sweet Lake Road went out of control, crossed all lanes of traffic, rolled over and crashed into a nearby body of water.
Fenske and Dirr were pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
