BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The National Weather Service has issued a “Cold Weather Advisory” for portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio from 7:00 p.m. Sunday night through 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Branch, Hillsdale, St. Joseph and Steuben Counties are included in the advisory as the coldest air of the winter is expected to drop wind chills to as low as 25 degrees below zero.
The actual air temperature will also make you shiver. Highs on Monday and Tuesday will be in the single digits. The lows are forecast to drop to three below on Monday night and six below on Tuesday night.
Forecasters warn the dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
You should limit your exposure outdoors. If you must go out, wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
