BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – School officials around Branch County did not hesitant on Monday with the weather forecast calling for dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills over the area.
All Branch County school districts are closed for Tuesday as a statewide cold weather advisory continues with wind chills expected to drop to 25 below zero at times.
The Branch County Memorial Airport recorded a low temperature of two degrees below zero with a wind chill of 19 below at about 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning.
Classes were not held on Monday as it was previously scheduled development day for staff.

Oh come on. This used to be the norm for Michigan weather in a time when most kids walked to school prior to the New Dark Ages. No wind chills to scare us back then. Kids today need to toughen up.
