Nancy Lucille Doolittle, 88, of Battle Creek passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Melanie Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
She was born on February 13, 1936 in Hastings to Alva Floyd and Daisy (Murphy) Johnson. Nancy married Carl L. Doolittle on August 11, 1961 and he preceded her in death in 1989.
Nancy graduated from Hickory Corners Schools and went on to Nursing School at Western Michigan University. She loved singing, knitting, sewing, crocheting, cooking and doing crosswords. Nancy was an amazing cook, a talented artist and a musician. She was also a member of the Union Church in Tekonsha.
Nancy shared the love of reading by making sure her grandchildren always had a new book to enjoy.
Nancy is survived by four children, Melanie (Mark) Macomber of Union City, Robin Doolittle of Coldwater, Kevin Doolittle of Coldwater, Anita (Kevin) Hicks of Hillsdale; two sisters, Marilyn Ellena of Lansing, Katherine Wilamowski of Marshall; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Carl, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Johnson; two sisters, Lois Westver-White, Donna Nowicki; two grandchildren, Joseph Keeton, Saoirse Ferris and one great-grandchild, Owen Szafranski.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and Battle Buddies Transportation LLC.
