COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – For the second straight day, schools across Branch County and most of west and southwest Michigan will be closed Wednesday due to extreme temperatures and wind chills.
Coldwater, Quincy, Bronson, Union City, Tekonsha, St. Mary’s Assumption, St. Charles Borromeo, and Pansophia Academy all made the decision to close late Tuesday afternoon.
Overnight temperatures in the Branch County area are expected to drop to -8 overnight, with the temperature not expected to rise above zero until after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. Wind chills could be as low as -20 overnight.
Most students in the county also had Monday off because of a scheduled teacher in-service day.
